What this means
The target window was not in the foreground and Windows did not allow Offisen to activate it. Offisen stops rather than risk directing a click or keystroke to another window.
What to do
- Make sure the target application is open and its intended window is available.
- Restore the window if it is minimized or hidden in the system tray.
- Bring the target window to the foreground manually.
- Close popups, overlays, or applications that repeatedly take focus, then retry playback.
- If the application was restarted or changed, record the affected workflow again.
Why this can happen
- The target was minimized, hidden, closing, or no longer available.
- Another application, notification, or overlay took the foreground.
- Windows rejected the activation request.
- The recorded window reference became stale after the target application restarted.
Example
A notification or always-on-top utility can take focus just as Offisen prepares a keyboard command. If Windows then refuses to activate the intended window, Offisen blocks the command.

If the problem continues
If manual activation works but OFS-1501 repeats, copy the support report and note which applications or overlays were open at the time.
Include the error code, correlation ID, timestamp, Offisen version, target application when relevant, and a short description of what happened. Review the report before sharing it and remove anything you do not want to send.
